Garnet Dress for Girls and Dolly goes Vintage Noel!

Garnet is the newest pattern from Tie Dye Diva Patterns. If you haven't already fallen in love with this pattern, be prepared! For toddlers, girls, and dolly too, the Garnet pattern (dolly sold separate) is loaded with options and knit-and-woven patterns are so popular right now for their mix of comfort and style. This may have become my newest go to dress for ... everything!

Today I am also excited to show you the Vintage Noel fabric collection by Josephine Kimberling for Blend Fabrics. I have loved this collection since first setting eyes on it. Vintage decorations, bows, and sweet treats soft, non-traditional colors mixed with modern gray, what's not to love?

The Garnet Dress, Top and Skirt for girls includes extended sizes from 12 months through girls 9/10. Yes you read that right, the Garnet pattern includes a dress, tee, and yoga waist skirt! Featuring a drop waist knit bodice that is perfectly placed, not too high or too low, and knit or woven skirt, the options for sewing this dress are endless.

The top features a simply adorable, petite collar attached to a comfy, knit bodice. The knit bodice means the dress simply pulls over the head, no closures necessary. Sweet little gathers in the cap of the sleeves (you choose short or long) add to the girly charm. If making long sleeves be sure to check out the optional ruched sleeve option, which is the one I've made here.

The circle skirt (be it attached to the bodice for a dress or the yoga waistband for a skirt) can be made with either knit or woven fabric. Also choose either a single fabric skirt or paneled skirt made from two or more fabrics. Circle skirts are super quick and easy to sew because no gathering is required. The pattern also includes multiple tips and ideas for hemming circle skirts either with a narrow folded hem or pretty trim.

Don't for get about Garnet for Dolly! If you've not tried one of Jen's doll patterns, let me tell you, they are the easiest around and fit great! Just as in the girl's pattern, Garnet for Dolly also includes dress top and skirt as well as the perfect tiny collar. Choose from short or long sleeves and knit or woven skirt. Use a folded hem on the skirt or finish with trim. The back is open all the way down for easy dressing and closes with your choice of Velcro or snaps.

Today I've made the dress version of the Garnet pattern for both Sweet Pea and Dolly. I've paired it with a Knot or Not Headband for the perfect finish.
