Anna Griffin Christmas Kitch in July Blog Hop - Mommy & Me Skirts and a GIVEAWAY

Welcome to Tie Dye Diva's stop on the Christmas in July blog hop featuring the Christmas Kitsch collection by Anna Griffin fabrics! I hope you've been enjoying the whimsical and playful designs in this collection - those Santas, though! These prints are available now at the Fat Quarter Shop. Head over there now for the best selection. Be sure to read all the way to the bottom for your chance to win this collection for yourself! {EDITED, giveaway is closed, congratulations Karen P. @laughterinquits on Instagram!}

We chose to use our reversible 'Mommy and Me" skirt patterns, the Chocolate Chip Skirt for Women, and the Potato Chip Skirt for Girls, to feature the fun and funky as well as the soft and elegant sides of Christmas Kitsch. Business on one side, party on the other!  Both Chocolate and Potato chip skirts feature a flat front, elastic back waistband for easy fitting and include lined, unlined, or reversible options.  And of course - pockets (the perfect place to add piping) - everyone needs pockets!  The girls Potato Chip skirt includes sizes 12-18 months through girls 13/14 while the women's Chocolate Chip pattern includes XS through XXXL fitting hips from 34" to 50".  Combined that's a total of EIGHTEEN sizes!

The "party side" of our skirts feature Merry Christmas in Red on the Chocolate Chip skirt for mama and Trees in Green on our little Potato Chip Skirt for mini me. How fun for a holiday party! The retro look of these prints reminds of Christmas as a child.

It's party time!
Little Miss showing some sass in her "party" skirt.
You might notice that Mama is expecting another sweetheart.  We have not made any maternity modifications on this skirt at all.  The skirt is cut according to hip measurement and simply folded under the baby belly.  This works thanks to the ease of the elastic back. Perfect for this Christmas in July fun and for wearing in December after that sweetheart has made an appearance.

Moving on to "business" - this collection has some gorgeous elegant and classic prints as well. Sweet Pea's business side of her skirt features Holly & Flake in Ice - classic and with the fresh surprise of ice blue for the holiday.  And, the pockets! Little Miss is in the Christmas-in-July spirit armed with imaginary cocoa and ready to go. Just hope we don't find any gingerbread cookies stashed away in those pockets.

The Chocolate Chip Skirt features the softly swirled print called "Flurry", also in the ice colorway. Pockets for mama's phone!

If you're not sure if it's a party or a business day, why not mix and match.

Here are some links to bonus tutorials for the Potato Chip and Chocolate Chip skirts so you can do even more with these versatile patterns. You can find them both at www.tiedyedivapatterns.com.

We hope you have loved seeing our skirts in Christmas Kitsch as much as we loved sewing them! Don't miss the prior and upcoming stops on the hop.
