[EDITED TO ADD: Comments are closed! Giveaway winner and discount code posted here!]

How can it be Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day already? This must mean summer is just around the corner and it's time to get serious about the summer sewing! And dipping my toes in the pool, eating lime popsicles, and wearing flip flops every day. That's serious summer stuff too.

But let's get right to the good stuff. I'm giving away a 3-pack of my PDF sewing patterns, the winner can choose from any of my 50+ PDF sewing patterns.

You might choose a summer pattern for boys like my Way Cool Shorts.

You might choose a pattern for girls like my the pretty Daydreamer Dress.
You might choose a pattern for baby like the Ruffled Baby Romper/Sunsuit.
Or you might say to heck with the kids and sew something for yourself like my brand new sun hat pattern for women.
Here's how to enter. Just leave a comment (and be sure I have a way to reach you if you win)!  I'd love it if you'd come join me and 4000 other wonderful sewing folks at the Tie Dye Diva Patterns Facebook page, but that's totally optional, you only have to leave a comment to be entered.

If you purchase from me during the run of this contest (between time stamp of this post and the time comments are closed on May 25) and you end up being the lucky winner, I will refund your purchase price for up to 3 patterns.

Winner will be drawn randomly via Random.org and announced by May 27 right here on the Tie Dye Diva blog. One entry will be counted per person. I will email the PDF patterns to the winner anywhere in the world. After you enter be sure to go to Sew Mama Sew for other great giveaways! You will have less time for toe-dipping today, but will get the chance to win some amazing stuff from generous bloggers, crafters, designers and fabric shops!

Tie Dye Diva Patterns - now with Sewing Levels!

Big news! I am in the process of adding recommended sewing experience levels to each Tie Dye Diva pattern that I hope will help you choose the patterns that are right for your level of experience. Look for them to be added to each pattern listing during this month. The levels are as follows:

****
Beginner: Basic familiarity with sewing machine and basic sewing tools. Able to sew a straight line as well as manuever the machine around curves. Either familiar with gathering fabric or can follow the provided instructions for gathering.

Advanced Beginner: Has completed several sewing projects. Able to perform slightly more difficult sewing techniques such as sewing a buttonhole (though the patterns with buttonholes also have alternate instructions), matching seams precisely, enclosing a raw edge of fabric in bias tape, or working with knit fabric.

Intermediate: Has completed many sewing projects. Able to perform more complex sewing techniques such as turning a small bias tube, pressing a tightly curved hem, sewing a curved "princess" style seam or able to follow provided instructions to do so. ****

Thank you to the 100+ Tie Dye Diva customers who completed the sewing level survey to help me with this process! I loved reading your responses and sincerely appreciate the time each one of you took to fill out the survey. And as promised, I've drawn a winner of a 5-pack of patterns from the first 100 survey results:
The 73rd survey was returned by lindsey...@yahoo.com, and I've emailed her to ask for her 5 choices. Congrats!

Now more big news! Tons of new patterns on the way, for girls, boys, baby, mom and more! First up is the brand-new-today RufflePOP! Skirt pattern, an easy to sew skirt pattern for girls 2 to 8 with a pretty ruffle-edged front panel that curves to reveal a fun pop of contrasting fabric! Also looks great in a single fabric. Complete printable pattern for the skirt, not just a cutting chart or template. Sewing level: Beginner to advanced beginner. Ready for instant download on my website, www.tiedyedivapatterns.com
And the last but not least of the news - I am feeling so badly that my dear friend Heather, known to most as Goosie Girl, was recently injured and is unable to work. A group of boutique friends have joined together to help her out with a benefit auction, the proceeds of which will go 100% to Goosie, please come check out the auction album on Facebook to see what's available that you might need! Tie Dye Diva has donated a rare offering - the sample set from the cover of the brand new RufflePOP! Skirt pattern. The set includes the Euro-style skirt and the embellished tank and is ready to ship in size 4/5. More details at the link.
